My first real taste of that was an internship in public relations at Florida Hospital, one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. I was managing media relationships, writing press releases, and helping tell the stories of the nurses, doctors, and patients behind the institution. One of the projects I worked on was the press launch of the Emeril Lagasse Kitchen House, a culinary garden and wellness initiative Emeril developed in partnership with the hospital. Watching a single press release build into real coverage, real attention, real impact. That was the moment that shaped everything that followed. I knew then that my passion was telling big stories for the people doing meaningful work, even when, especially when, those people were too busy doing the work to tell the story themselves.
From there, I became obsessed with what happens when you bring that same strategic storytelling to smaller brands. Small businesses carry some of the most compelling stories I've ever encountered: founders who bet everything on something they believed in, products built to fill a gap nobody else saw, services that quietly change how people live. But most of them don't have the infrastructure, the time, or the right partner to tell those stories well. That gap is exactly where I built my career.
My approach is equal parts creative and strategic, and I love both sides of it. I think through problems before I think through solutions. That means understanding what's actually not working before producing anything, because that's what separates marketing that looks good from marketing that moves things. Once the direction is clear, I build and execute every piece myself: strategy, content, copy, website, social, email, all of it connected, all of it sounding like you. For some clients, I'm the entire marketing department. For others, I'm the experienced support that helps an existing team scale. Either way, my goal is the same: you're good at what you do. You shouldn't have to also be your own marketing team. My job is to make sure the world can find you.
