The Westport Project

Squarespace Website & Episodic Content Series

Squarespace Website Design & Build Social Media Content Episodic Content Series Influencer Collaboration Press & Media Coverage

The Brief

The Westport Project is a one-of-a-kind beachfront new build in Westport, CT, produced by The O'Dell Group. What started as a ground-up coastal construction became something much larger: a full episodic content series documenting the build from the ground up, built around the home's owners and their collaboration with The O'Dell Group's design-build team.

I came on to build the project's dedicated Squarespace website and to support the social media content that brought the series to life. The project also involved working alongside influencer Eva Amurri and her team, whose audience and storytelling added a personal, editorial dimension to the campaign that traditional design-build marketing rarely achieves.

Scope of Work

  • Squarespace Website Design & Build Designed and built a dedicated website for The Westport Project, giving the build its own identity separate from The O'Dell Group's main brand. The site serves as a home for the episodic content series and a destination for press and media coverage.
  • Social Media Content Support Supported the content and social media strategy that documented the build, aligning posts with construction milestones, episodic releases, and press moments to build audience anticipation across platforms.
  • Episodic Content Series Contributed to the content framework for the web series that chronicled the build from start to finish, turning a construction project into a compelling, followable story.
  • Influencer Collaboration Worked alongside Eva Amurri and her team, supporting the content and creative direction that brought her audience into the build and gave the project a personal, lifestyle-forward voice alongside the architectural story.

Impact & Results

The Westport Project drew national press coverage that put The O'Dell Group's work in front of audiences far beyond Westport. What began as a single coastal build became a media moment: featured in HGTV Magazine, People, and Realtor.com, reaching homeowners, design enthusiasts, and real estate audiences across the country.

The Work

The Westport Project is what happens when a design-build firm's best work meets the right storytelling infrastructure. By building a dedicated web presence, supporting a structured content series, and collaborating with Eva Amurri's team to bring a real lifestyle audience into the build, the project transcended what most residential construction ever becomes: a media property in its own right.

The episodic format gave followers a reason to keep coming back. The dedicated website gave press and media a destination. And the national coverage that followed put the work in front of audiences most design-build firms never reach.
